As a therapist and mother of three little girls, Natalie Grant spends most of her time taking care of other people. "Each day I walk into a community mental health center and work with people to help find their barriers to success," Grant wrote to Alive & Well, asking for one of our Diet and Workout Makeovers.
But in her own life, when it comes to losing weight, "I just cannot do this alone," she says. "I don't know how to change my eating alone and keep a level of commitment with as much weight as I have to lose."
In 2000, she gained 80 pounds with her first pregnancy.
"I never really got that weight off," she says. After her third baby was born, "I lost about 30 pounds, but then really struggled since then."
