Keon Samuda, a teen from the Central American country of Belize who lived in Belleville for more than a year while he received medical treatments, is going home.
At 6:30 p.m. today there will be a Mass at St. Augustine to wish Keon well before he returns to Belize on Wednesday morning.
"It's been a long time," Keon said.
Keon, 14, attended school at St. Augustine and recently was given a laptop from the school to allow him to keep in touch with friends he has made.
Keon arrived in Belleville 16 months ago for treatment of scoliosis, or curvature of the spine. The disease left him paralyzed and unable to walk.

He received treatment at the Shriner's Hospital for Children in St. Louis.
"He is going home able to walk," said Jill Kraft, a host parent to Keon.
