 Bill Gates, the chairman of Microsoft Corp. and the world's richest person, has developed a close personal and professional relationship with famed investor Warren Buffett - chairman of conglomerate Berkshire Hathaway and No. 2 on the rich list. Not long ago, Buffett promised much of his personal fortune to Gates's charitable foundation, saying he was confident in its ability to handle his billions.
