Dear Gov. Rendell and Mayor Street:
For decades, you have contributed to Philadelphia's renaissance. When America's birthplace has settled in as America's newest great city, you will be on the thank-you list.
But both of you are in another phase of your political careers now. You each watched the recent Philly mayor's primary contest in the last term of what may be your last elected office.
Nostalgia may not yet be a pastime - you have time left in City Hall and Harrisburg and plenty of work to do. Besides, you guys don't seem the type to get teary-eyed at memories of good deeds done.
