  Mayor Jim Newberry Tuesday signed an executive order creating the Lexington-Fayette Commission on Immigration.

  The group's first meeting will be held at 5:30 p.m., Thursday, in the Mayor's Conference Room in the Government Center, 200 East Main Street.

  According to the release, all commission meetings will be open to the public, and public comment will take place at two as yet unscheduled meetings set aside for that purpose.
