Our first stop on the islands of the East Coast was Koh Tao. It is a really small island and is the place to go to dive and snorkel. Joanna and Nicola were signed up to do their PADI Open water qualification for four days as Anne and Michelle had the more important task of relaxing and topping up our tans! Koh Tao was like paradise and we stayed in a lovely resort called the Coral Grand.

Nicola and Joanna had 3 mornings of "school" and spent the afternoon completing a pool intro and 4 dives off the island which were amazing. We all headed out on our final night in Kao Tao to celebrate Nicola and Joannas qualification. This ended up being a very eventful night on the beach at a bar called Lotus. Vodka buckets galore!!!!!  Struggled to get up to check out the following morning but finally made it to Phangan.

We spent 3 nights in Phangan where we spent the majority of the time chilling on the beach which was a little disappointing compared to others we have seen. Too many tourists!!! Joanna, Michelle and Anne went to cooking school so are officially experts at cooking Thai cuisine. Yum!!! Other than chilling, having massages, getting hair done etc nothing much else to report.
